HOW I WORK

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues.

I am a person-centred counsellor which means that we will together to follow your agenda at all times. 

WHAT CAN COUNSELLING HELP YOU WITH

Counselling can help you cope with: 

  • a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety

  • an upsetting physical health condition

  • a difficult life event, such as a bereavement, a relationship breakdown or work-related stress

  • difficult emotions – for example, low self-esteem or anger

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM COUNSELLING

Before we begin working together we will have a 30 minute consultation session. This will give you the opportunity to meet me and be sure in your own mind that I am the counsellor for you.
